Since you just got your **braces**, here are some essential care tips to keep your teeth and gums healthy throughout your treatment:
**Brush after every meal** – Use a soft-bristled toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste to remove food particles and plaque.
**Floss daily** – Use a floss threader or orthodontic floss to clean between teeth and around brackets.
**Use an orthodontic mouthwash** – Helps prevent cavities and gum inflammation.
**Avoid sticky & hard foods** – Sticky foods (gum, caramel) can get stuck in braces, and hard foods (nuts, popcorn) can damage brackets.
**Attend regular orthodontic appointments** – Adjustments ensure your treatment stays on track.
**Wear a mouthguard for sports** – Protects your braces and teeth from injury.
Good oral care will help you achieve the best results from your orthodontic treatment!

Taking care of braces is difficult, I would throw everything (including the kitchen sink (not really)) at it. Brush as normal, use a floss threader to floss between your teeth effectively, add interproximal brushes and end-tuft brushes to help you effectively clean around the brackets and always follow up with a good mouthwash to help rinse everything away. A prescription strength toothpaste can only help too.
