“How long is the treatment for gastritis?”
I have gastritis. How long is the treatment for gastritis?

It depends on if the gastritis is acute or chronic. The latter does not usually cause symptoms but sensitivity of the stomach may need long term treatment. For acute infectious gastritis, treatment may be needed for a few days to a week. Pain control, antiacids and anti-nausea medications are commonly used. More advanced prescription meds can also be used in concert with your HCP.
