Some of the diabetes mellitus symptoms may include: fatigue, increased thirst and urination, blurred vision, significant weight gain (type 2) or weight loss (type 1 or long term type 2), poor wound healing, tingling and numbness of the hands/feet (usually both sides), skin abscesses and frequent infections.
Classical symptoms of diabetes are: increased thirst, increased urge to urinate, weight loss usual with a good appetite. Many individuals have diabetes without symptoms so that only measurements of the blood glucose values are the goal standards for making the diagnosis.
