Ingrown Hair Hole

I've never been diagnosed with any skin disorders. I recently (about a week ago) had a few ingrown hairs I popped. In the past day or two I got the hair out but it left a hole. The holes now seem to be infected. The hurt a little and itch a little. These are in my thighs and knees. What do I do and should I be concerned?

It sounds like your ingrown hair spots have become infected. This can happen if bacteria get into the open skin.

What You Can Do:
Clean the Area – Wash with warm water and mild soap.
Apply Antiseptic – Use hydrogen peroxide or an antibiotic ointment (like Neosporin) to prevent infection.
Keep It Covered – Use a clean bandage to protect the area.
Avoid Scratching – Scratching can make it worse.
Warm Compress – Helps with swelling and healing.
When to See a Doctor:
If the infection gets worse (more redness, swelling, pus).
If you have fever or spreading pain.
If the area does not heal in a few days.
