I need to have gallbladder surgery. Is laparoscopic gallbladder surgery a major surgery?

This is considered a fairly routine surgery but this question is best addressed by a general surgeon.
Unless your surgeon is going to remove pieces of your bladder, then no, I would say that just having a look see with a scope is minor; laparoscopic viewing is them inserting a scope (the tiniest of cameras) into your body to look around and see what they can see. This is a safe operation and done as a day case, you have it and go home the same day. It causes minimum pain, and you can resume your routine within 3-5 days.
It’s usually an outpatient surgery, unless you have a serious infection or worst case scenario your gallbladder were to burst and that would be a medical emergency and require surgery and a hospital stay. I had my gallbladder removed laparoscopically and it went great.
