Meniere's Disease and the Covid Vaccine?

I had Covid a month ago. I am completely well now. I have not been vaccinated. I was diagnosed with Meniere's Disease last year. I have read about some issues with Meniere's disease patients losing their hearing after receiving the covid vaccine. In your professional opinion, do you think it is safe for me to get the covid vaccine?

Menie’s disease is one that the devil himself came up with. A terrible condition that makes life less than easy for those so unfortunate to suffer from it. At any rate, your risk of losing your hearing after COVID vaccine is so much less that your risk of serious complications from infection that I seriously recommend getting the vaccine.

Thanks for the question.
There is one study that mentions that of 3100 ENT office visits for symptoms like Meniere's, 30 were vaccinated for Covid within 10 days of onset of symptoms. This in no way correlates Meniere's worsening after the vaccine, because we have no idea how many people with Meniere's worsened without the vaccine. I cannot state with certainty you should avoid the vaccine.

I looked through the literature and it does seem that tinnitus and vertigo may be slightly higher in the first 10 days after the vaccine, and there is a VERY small chance of hearing loss. I suggest checking your antibody levels to be sure you need the vaccine. Right now the data leans toward a very small risk of you getting a little bit worse.
