Possibly anxiety induced ibs

Everyone I get nervous my stomach makes these noises and I have to poop/fart. Lessing the amount of food I eat and what I eat helps but still I can’t control it and it got so bad to the point where I was missing class and even failed most bc of me missing. I never want to go bc I know it’s going to happen. It’s so embarrassing people ask me to stop like I can control it but I can’t. I’ve asked a doctor about it but they said it’s probably just digestion but it’s not I know what that sounds like. I think it’s anxiety induced ibs.

I agree with you but I would describe it as anxiety-exacerbated IBS. A good GI doctor should be able to get you on some medicines that will help you keep the symptoms better controlled. At the same time, treating the anxiety is important. This might mean seeing a psychiatrist or seeing a counselor, getting on medications or trying meditation, exercise, etc.
