My 22 year autistic old son has never had body odor problems. But two years ago after a tramatic 9 months in jail. He came out with a fecal and semen body odor. He can't smell it, but other people around him can. This fills up the whole room immediately as soon as he walks in. He tells me when he feels heavy sensory overload or has introvert behaviors he gets worser reaction from other people. This really scares my son because he feels like his gut is reading his mind. His doctor says he has IBS without adominal pain or bloating, but just gave him Benefiber to take everyday which didn't work to stop the odor entirely. Last year my son went to jail again for 4 months and came out this time with a strong urine body odor. This behaves just like the fecal/semen body odor. He says the reactions from people are worser, they think he drinks too much water or is drunk. We took him to the doctor to take urine and blood tests, but everything came out normal. I think my son has overactive bladder syndrome. But doing research online I found out that there is no symptom of a strong urinary body odor that fills up the whole room as soon as he walks in. What conditions does my son have that makes him smell like that and can it be reversed so my son can be like he was before he went to jail?

Body odor issues are not necessarily linked to the GI tract. I would think it is more of a hygiene or dermatological problem.
