A speech therapist at this age is unnecessary. Speak with your pediatrician about this.

Talk with pediatrician first and get evaluation done.
It does not hurt to get a speech evaluation.. i would recommend it
Please find a Speech and Language Therapist near you, who works with young children. "Early Intervention" is from birth to 3 years old, and is the most important time in a child's speech and language development. You are absolutely doing the right thing by reaching out now. You can locate an SLP near you by going to: ASHA.org/profind . Click "Find an SLP" and enter your location and other information.
I would an encourage a consultation with early intervention specialists. These teams include speech therapists, occupational therapists, and more. Refer to your child’s doctor for more information!
When concerned, it's always best to contact a Speech Pathologist. Early Intervention can typically evaluate your child and determine if there is a delay. If not, many Speech Pathologists provide free screenings or consultations.
