Dermatologist Questions

Skin rash

Hi, this has been an issue for a long time for me, but I didn't go to dermatologist because it would usually clear up on its own, very fast.
As long as I can remmember, during the summer months, I have always had some sort of rash that would go away on its own. It didn't itch, and it had no particular color. It was always around my mouth, on my palms, and on my fingers. Surprise surprise it happened again, but this time it spread like crazy. In an hour I would see some really bad changes. Oh and also, it itches like crazy now. I first suspected it was milia, but now idk anymore. Planing to see a dermatologist soon, but I have to find a hole in my schedule first. Thanks for any kind of input, I appreciate it!

It sounds like you have a rash that usually goes away on its own, but this time it’s spreading and itching a lot. Since it's different from what you've had before, it’s a good idea to see a dermatologist.

In the meantime:

Don’t scratch it, as it can make it worse.
Keep the area clean and use a gentle lotion to help.
Use a cool compress to help with the itching.
If it keeps spreading or gets worse, see a doctor soon. Irvine Skin can help you figure it out. Book an appointment when you can!
