There are fortunately multiple kinds of medications to help with migraine. There are medications to prevent migraine which has been used for more than 30 years such as blood pressure medications, seizure medications, and depression medications. In medicine many medications could be invented for 1 particular disease, then through experience also it is used successfully for other diseases.
In addition there is medications for the acute / rescue migraine called triptans.

Over the last few years a new group of medications come to the market called CGRP, and those medications work well to prevent migraine as well as to treat acute migraine. (Aimovig, Ajovy, Nurtec, Ubrelvy, among others)

Some patients do not like medications in the traditional way, so they can use some complementary or alternative methods such as different vitamins, or routine exercises.

As always, kindly speak to your physician before starting any medications.
