“What is the best allergy medicine for my child?”
My son has chronic pollen allergies. I want to know what is the best allergy medicine for my child?

Cetirizine, Claritin or Allegra. Any of these allergy meds can be taken by children once daily. May give Benadryl every 4-6hrs for allergies. Follow the dose on the bottle. Claritin, Cetirizine, and Allegra are long-acting and non-drowsy. You will have to take it once a day whereas Benadryl is short-acting and makes you sleepy, you will have to take it multiple times a day. All of these medicines are safe for 6months and up to children. Please contact your doctor before starting daily medicines.
