Migraines can be treated with acupuncture, herbs and massage. I recommend 2-3 sessions a week for 4-6 weeks to get the best result.
Treating He Gu (Large Intestine 4) is a very empiracle acupuncture point to help treat headaches/migraines. Often acupressure can help as well with a 5 minute stimulation to the acupuncture point located between the webbing of the index finger & the thumb. Some conditions respond better with a combination of herbal supplements and acupuncture. The best solution is to seek your primary care physician & ask if alternative medicine will benefit your situation. Live Happy, - Happy Cloud Acupuncture Michael A. Chow, M.A.O.M., L.Ac. There are lots of treatments than can, potentially, improve your situation with respect to migraine. There isn't really an objective "best". There is, however, a "best for you".
Acupuncture and Chinese medicine have a very good track record with headache and migraine. I treat it a lot and I'm usually very successful in bringing people relief.
Prescription medication can often help.
Identifying triggers and making lifestyle changes can also help.

Hi there. I'm sorry about your migraine. I know how much it affect your day and your ability to work and simply function. I'd highly recommend find a good acupuncturist to make sure your neck/shoulder muscles are nice and loose, then address your hormones and sleep. When we're able to help you with these migraines triggers, the headache will decrease after each treatment. Call your insurance to find out if you have acupuncture benefits and get the list of providers near you. Good luck. I hope you will find some relief soon.
