I will get a dental implant. When should I eat after the dental implant?

Ask the doctor when you get the implant placed. It depends.
During the first 24-48 hours, you should stick to a cool liquid diet, which means: Avoid any hot foods or beverages and consume only cool liquids instead.
After the first 24 hours, you can start eating soft foods such as mashed potatoes, broiled fish, tofu, etc.
If your implant has been placed and is completely buried under the gums, meaning that no part of it sticks up out of the gums, then you should be okay to resume normal diet after 1-2 weeks once the gums have healed from the procedure.
