Endocronologist (Pediatric) Questions

Would the use of immunosuppressants treat autoimmune (Hasimoto's) thyroiditis without the use of levothyroxine?

I was diagnosed with autoimmune thyroiditis that causes hypothyroidism at the age of 4. I am turning 13 years old next month. Since it is autoimmune, I was wondering whether taking immunosuppressant drugs could be an alternative treatment to the daily use of levothyroxine. I suppose that if my immune system stopped attacking my thyroid gland, it would treat my hypothyroidism while preventing goiter or thyroid cancer. What do you think?
