“Can plastic surgery help with my scar?”
I'm 20 years old, and I have a large scar on my forehead from hitting my head when I was younger. Can a plastic surgeon help me remove it?

When a scar is surgically removed it is replaced by a new scar. The procedure is done with the expectation that the new scar will be better than the former scar. It however will also be permanent Some scars do not lend themselves to Surgical improvement while others do.
Sometimes scar revision can improve the scar on your forehead, however, it will never be able to be completely removed.
Good luck.

Yes it is very possible it can help but a board certified plastic surgeon should assess and evaluate!
Anytime you injure the skin more than superficially, or cut through the full thickness of the skin, there will be a scar and this is permanent. As yet, medicine has not discovered how to fully control the healing process that produces scars and so the appearance and quality of any scar is not fully predictable for any patient or any situation. That said, plastic surgeons have a wide variety of ways to make scars as inconspicuous as possible. See my post on scars at https://www.bosshardtandmarzek.com/blog/About%20scars.html
