My daughter is 5 years old and I recently saw her developing white patches on her skin. Why could this be happening? Is there a treatment for this?

Some eczema can make white patches and moisturizing skin and cocoa butter works well to darken the skin and moisturize. Virtiligo is white patches that are whiter and sometimes spread. Treatment is limited
Eczema or any rash can cause hypopigmented (light) patches. Vitiligo is complete loss of pigmentation and is caused by the immune system attacking the cells that create pigment (melanocytes). Depending which it is determines how it should be treated. You should talk to your primary care doctor or board certified dermatologist for evaluation and treatment.
