My son is 8 years old and he is complaining of lower back pain every night. What could be the reason behind this pain? Could it be something serious?

It is unusual for an 8 year old to complain every night, It could be kidney infection, muscle pain , bone pain etc. This needs attention right away.
It could be a bladder or bowel problem or a spinal defect. A full workup might be necessary.
