I applied hot oil on my hair and a little went into my ears. Will it cause any problems?

I applied a hot oil mask on my hair yesterday and a little bit ran into my ears. I am worried since it was hot oil. Can it cause any problems in my ears?

Unlikely, unless severe pain and/or other symptoms immediately resulted.
It is unlikely to be cause any problems as it likely was just exposed to the external auditory canal. Assuming you have an intact tympanic membrane, there should not be any further difficulties. If you do have any symptoms such as pain, decreased hearing, or abnormal drainage from the ear, it would be wise to see an otolaryngologist.
Should irrigate with water if this happens. If very hot, could cause skin burn or damage eardrum. Avoidance is best.
