I am a 23 year old male. I will have surgery for an oral cyst. Is an oral cyst removal painful?

In order to answer this question most accurately, I would need to know where the cyst is and what size the cyst is, as well as possibly what type of cyst. Obviously a large cyst will require a more expansive surgery than a smaller cyst. More extensive surgery may be associated with also being possibly more painful or taking longer to heal.
