ā€œpsychiatric meds interactions ā€

i started taking 30mg cymbalta 4 days ago, the first day i took it i threw up twice a few hours later. today, i took it and threw up like 9-11 times (lost count) over the course of 4hrs. i take 300mg wellbutrin for major depressive disorder, 50-100mg trazodone for insomnia, and birth control. is this normal? im wondering if it might be an interaction with my trazodone, since i was completely fine when i forgot to take it one night. i’m 18, 5’5, roughly 175lb and female

Wellbutrin can increase the levels of Cymbalta. This may or may not be a side effect of Cymbalta. I would suggest stopping the Cymbalta for a few days and see if the vomiting stops or not and if it does, you may want to reinitiate the Cymbalta at 20 mg instead of 30 mg and see if this problem happens again. If it does, I suggest you discuss with your doctor an alternative. I hope this helps.
