Right lower abdominal pain?

Hi doctor, my 27 year old son had severe abdominal pain last night and he did not sleep properly he rolled with pain. He drank an 800mg Ibuprofen tablet around 5 am this morning and the pain stopped and he slept a little. He had breakfast but he did not eat lunch because he said the pain started again but now he is sound asleep without any groaning or rolling for pain. He vomited once last night. Do you think it's serious or he is ok now?

I think it's serious. He should be evaluated by a physician ASAP, possibly by the ER. He could have appendicitis. I would not wait. If the appendix perforates, consequences could be deadly.
