“Why does my son have pain in his gums?”
My son is 6 years old, and complains often about his gums hurting. What could be causing this pain in such a young child?

Unfortunately the simple answer may not be the answer you're looking for. Depending on his age he probably needs some supervision and instruction in the bathroom as to how it needs to be done. This may be best reinforced by the hygienist to clean his teeth and not the parent. Get a little timer use a soft bristle brush have the hygenist explain the use of dental floss. And make sure that after each meal the routine of brushing is instituted and he carries a travel brush to school toothpaste is not necessary
