Digging Deep to Support a Teammate With Ovarian Cancer
Another team has also stepped up to the plate in a big way
David Kuhn and the University of Central Arkansas have taken the extra mile to show Alex their support for her fight against cancer. Their efforts have raised substantial amounts of money to help pay for Alex's medical bills. They did this by auctioning off special jerseys so that they could help pay for her medical costs. Kuhn is the head coach of the softball team in Central Arkansas. His team raised over $4,000 to help Alex with medical bills.
This was no small feat, and the money certainly helped Alex with the logistics of getting the appropriate care. Cancer is expensive to treat, and anything helps! It's incredibly heartwarming to see such community support, even from as far away as Arkansas!
