Back in 1994, he earned his medical degree from the Universidad Central De Venezuela Facultad de Medicina. Upon relocating to the United States, he completed his residency in internal medicine at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in 2004, followed by a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the Baylor College of Medicine in 2007. Finally, he completed an additional fellowship in interventional cardiology at Massachusetts General Hospital in 2008.

As a testament to his success, the doctor is board-certified in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
