Dr. Bristol is a family physician with Wells Branch Medical Center in Austin, Texas.

“Over the years, I have thoroughly enjoyed the practice of family medicine. During that time, I have had the privilege of caring for many families, often times over generations. I believe the doctor-patient relationship is a critical part of delivering quality healthcare. Everything I have done for my practice is to ensure that I can continue to maintain a positive relationship with my patients and provide them with the quality care that they deserve. Given that the healthcare scene evolves rapidly, I do everything I can to continue educating myself in order to handle each patient with the most effective care possible” expressed the doctor. 

In the state of Texas, he is affiliated with St. David’s Medical Center, North Austin Medical Center, and St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center.

A 1984 graduate of Howard University College of Medicine, Dr. Bristol went on to serve his internship and residency in family medicine at Central Texas Medical Foundation, Brackenridge Hospital in 1985 and 1987, respectively. 

Of particular interest is his passion of fighting cardiovascular disease. As a graduate of the Bale-Doneen Method, he strives for the most comprehensive preventive or effective treatment, when possible. 

In good standing with a number of professional organizations, Dr. Bristol is a member of the American Academy of Family Medicine, the American Academy of Pharmaceutical Physicians, the Association of Clinical Research Professionals, the Texas Medical Association, and the Travis County Medical Society.

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility.

Aside from the practice of medicine, his devotion is to his family and spirituality. His extracurricular activities include listening to music, especially jazz and classical, as well as running.
