Get to know Cardiologist Dr. Jeffrey Doskow, who serves patients in Union, New Jersey.

A board-certified & fellowship-trained cardiologist, Dr. Doskow sees patients at Suburban Heart Group, an affiliate of Atlantic Health System, in Union, New Jersey.

Before embarking on his professional journey, he graduated with his medical degree from the SUNY Health Science Center at Syracuse in 1985. He then went on to complete his internship, residency in internal medicine, and fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the Beth Israel Medical Center.

Recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), the doctor is board-certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Among his other roles, Dr. Doskow can be found on staff at Overlook Medical Center, and Saint Barnabas Medical Center.

Cardiology is a branch of medicine that deals with the disorders of the heart, as well as some parts of the circulatory system. The field includes medical diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease, and electrophysiology. Cardiologists are doctors who diagnose, assess, and treat patients with diseases and defects of the heart and blood vessels (the cardiovascular system).
