Laura Mancuso Fibromyalgia

I am a 55 yr old woman with two grown children. I am divorce since 2013. I was dx in 2010 with RA with Fibro I also have OA, DDD, and few others contributing to my continuous pain. My life has been nothing but pain and I find every day life a huge challenge to stay optimistic. But, I continue the fight.

What symptoms led up to your diagnosis?

I had severe Pain all over my body and joints. They originally thought I had Lupus. Later to find out I have RA with Fibromyalgia.

What tests did your doctor do, and what was this experience like?

blood, xrays, ct and MRIs due to my neck was also injured.

Upon learning about your diagnosis, what happened next?

I was put on biologics for a brief period. I have since then been in a bit of remission for a while now. I'm still suffering in pain continuously from what I believe is the fibro and my back injuries and OA and advanced degenerative disc disease along with severe OA in the sacral/lumbar area.
