Talking to Someone at Different Stages of Alzheimer's
Reactions to the middle stages of Alzheimer's
Also known as moderate Alzheimer’s, this stage is the longest. A person could progress to mid-stage and stay here for many years. This stage does require a bit more intervention when caring for the patient.
This is often times when family and friends start to see two different sides of the patient. Someone with mid-stage Alzheimer’s may remember that a bill needs to be paid but forget how to pay it. They may have difficulty with a few aspects of personal hygiene, such as putting on make-up. They may wander more and perhaps even get lost. This is also where personality changes begin to become apparent and feelings of moodiness and even depression surface.
