Yes! LASIK surgery is generally considered safe and effective treatment for myopia. Your qualified surgeon and staff will conduct a comprehensive evaluation prior to surgery and should be able to answer any questions or concerns you have in order for you to have the best experience possible.

Sorry I don't think that is a good question to ask as I don't know what you mean by safe. If you want to elaborate I could try and help.
Safety is a relative term mostly in the realm of statistics. The vast majority of people who have LASIK are happy but some are not. Since the eyes that undergo the procedure are healthy but out of focus pre-operatively the procedure must be relatively safe to be reasonable. Probably the most common complaint post-op is a sense of dryness. More serious priblems are unusual but may occur.
Hello, Thank you for your question. Yes LASIK Surgery is safe. It is elective surgery, and as such, one must be cautious. Even though it is safe, anyone can have a less than optimum result, especially if they don't follow the directions, with post surgical medications. In addition, a person needs to be a good candidate, ie, be healthy have a prescription that is reasonable for LASIK, understand the long and short term concerns for your visual function.
All surgeries carry some risk of complications and side effects, but LASIK is generally considered a safe procedure with a low complication rate.
