Most cataract surgeons have patients use drops after cataract surgery. You need 3 different kinds of drops: 1. antibiotic, 2. steroid, and 3. nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory. Some surgeons inject these medicines into the eye at the time of surgery to make it so the patients need fewer or no drops.
Most patients do need drops, it is possible with some of the new implants to avoid them, but it may not be covered by your insurance
Generally as prescribed by your surgeon
