Navita Modi, M.D. is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (FACOG). Dr. Modi has been in practice for nearly Fourteen years. Dr. Modi is Board certified (Diplomat of American Board of OBGYN) and has taken certified trainings to perform minimally invasive surgeries utilizing the most current technology in the surgical arena – da Vinci and Olympus 3-D. Dr. Modi’s interests include strong commitment to patient education, research in women’s health care, and teaching. Dr. Modi has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of women’s diseases, especially dealing with the female reproductive system, performing advanced gynecologic surgeries, including diagnostic, emergency, and Urogyn procedures. Dr. Modi has an outstanding ability to provide care with emphasis on a holistic approach, treating the female patient as a physical, emotional, and social being. With her ability to establish rapport with the patients, unfailing flexibility, and adaptability to constantly changing circumstances, she has been able to deliver superior results under extreme pressures. Dr. Modi has published various research papers and articles throughout her professional career. There is nothing you can do to prevent ectopic pregnancy. Having fear about it is genuine, but take a deep breath and believe in GOD. You should be ok. READ MORE

Dr. Modi is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist who has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of women’s diseases, especially when it comes to dealing with the female reproductive system and performing advanced gynecologic surgeries. She is the owner of Women’s Health Care Specialists in Greenbelt, Maryland and Alexandria, Virginia.

Pertaining to her educational background, Dr. Modi received her medical degree from Guru Gobind Singh Medical College in 1996. Thereafter, she went on to complete her residency at Howard University Hospital in Washington D.C. in 2004.

Shortly thereafter, she became board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and critical care medicine by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, which is a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada.

Among her professional affiliations, she is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG), as well as a member of the Pennsylvania Medical Society and the Ohio State Medical Association. She attributes her success to her passion for continuing her education while receiving support from her family.

Obstetrics and gynecology is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts).

Throughout her professional career, Dr. Modi has published various research papers and articles. She has also received recognition awards for her outstanding performances, including being named one of America’s Top OB/GYNs by the Consumer’s Research Council of America, among others.
