    Yes, you can, but it is not always advisable to place one implant for every missing tooth. Sometimes an implant bridge is a better option. A lot depends upon the bone and tissue contours.     Is your diabetes well-controlled? If you have periodontal disease this can exacerbate your diabetes. If you are taking medications, I would discuss the dry mouth with your doctor to see if there are alternatives that have less of an effect on saliva. If you smoke, that contributes to dry mouth. If you are well controlled and without periodontal disease, there are several products available that can help, though short term. Look for xylitol containing mints and gum as they stimulate saliva. There are also mouth sprays that can be used. Weldental.com has several products and then there are options in the Biotene product line. There are others as well.     Gingivitis is generally not treated with gingivitis. First and foremost, you need to get to your dentist for an exam and to get your teeth cleaned.
